Whenever we are in the house in summer, Sophie loves to sleep near the vents of our quality air conditioner. She loves the cool air blowing on her fur to keep her cool. When working in the cooling industry sometimes you find yourself returning to the establishments that you worked on. This summer has been hot, sometimes blazing hot but beautiful all the same. Last week, we were called to the local laundromat to fix their multi-split air conditioning system. When we first got there, the place was closed so we did not have to deal with customers coming in and out as we worked. The quality air conditioner was in pretty good shape and also looked new. The laundromat attendant explained that the HVAC installation had been done three years back when he started working there. Since then, he’s seen various air conditioning technicians perform HVAC maintenance at least three times. This explained the good state of the unit. They had a smart thermostat which was a costly device but worked efficiently. As we progressed with the air conditioning repair, we had to order a few new parts from the air conditioning provider to replace the worn-out and damaged components. As we fixed the new components, my colleague the a/c serviceman changed the filters. The job was done, we cleaned our work area and left the laundromat. That weekend, I decided to try out the same laundromat to do my laundry as I had seen they had the latest powerful machines. My top air conditioning technicians and I had our work cut out for us when it came to merging. We were now the only go-to company to learn more about air conditioning. I was really excited when my wife and I decided to order a new mattress. Now a lot of people go to a place to test the different mattresses and will pay top dollar for whatever they choose. That’s something we have done ourselves, but honestly, we don’t really feel that it was worth it. Our mattress eventually became uneven and started hurting our backs, and I believe that was after 5 years. We thought for what we paid, we would have had something that lasted a lot longer. We ended up buying cheap mattresses over the years, and you end up having to throw those out after a few years. Finally, we invested in this advanced memory foam mattress. I didn’t really know if I would like the mattress, but the reviews had people talking about how it was very firm and just how they liked it. Some people didn’t like it because it was too firm, but I felt that would be good for our lower back pain. Also I was reading how the memory foam provides a certain cooling effect to help you sleep better through the night. We had to let the mattress decompress when it arrived for 48 hours, but it was perfect after that! It was interesting because usually I crank the cooling unit in our bedroom at night, but the memory foam really does help balance the heat of your body. The cooling effect is pleasant and I have found that I don’t need to run the fan or the AC system at night because I feel just fine with this new mattress. I certainly would recommend it to those who want to get rid of their back pain and want comfortable sleep through the night.

I thought it was cool when my best buddy decided to get a career in the HVAC industry.

It’s kind of crazy though because the HVAC company he went to work for was a place I had a bad experience with. I thought those guys had HVAC workers who weren’t reliable. The HVAC worker who came to my house clearly had been drinking and I suspected that he might be on some other drugs because he was acting very strange. He worked on the HVAC and got it working fine, but he didn’t bother to explain what he did and I thought the price for the repair was ridiculous. Well, when my buddy started working at this place, of course I wanted to go through him for my HVAC services because I knew that he wasn’t going to try to rip me off. He said that unfortunately, he had to charge a certain amount that was a little more costly, but he also said this was the only HVAC company that would hire him. So if I wanted my buddy to handle my services, I had to pay a little extra money, but I was okay with that. My buddy did great work on my HVAC equipment and I honestly think he’s one of the main reasons why the company turned around. Suddenly they were getting a lot of positive reviews, and I know that was mostly people who were serviced by my buddy who is actually very knowledgeable when it comes to HVAC repairs. I wouldn’t have anybody else work on my HVAC equipment.

After dealing with a cheap HVAC system for the last 6 years since we bought it, it was time to go looking for a new HVAC for sale. I know, it’s crazy that anybody would want to replace their HVAC system after only 6 years, but this thing has been breaking down since the 2nd year of using it! I can’t tell you how many times I had to call the local contractors to fix the thing, but it just continues to have problems no matter how much service and repairs you go for. I realized recently that this was a huge waste of money and it would be best to go for a modern HVAC that was good quality and extremely energy efficient. This cheap HVAC wasn’t very energy efficient at all and it was something that has stressed me a lot over these past years. I was happy when I had a consultation with an HVAC expert who was able to tell us more about different HVAC systems and he recommended the best ones to go for. He was really pushing us towards the geothermal heat pump, but that was a little too expensive for me to pay for. So we went for a ductless multi-split system. He was telling us how these ductless systems save homeowners and business owners a great deal of cash because the systems are so energy efficient. He explained they were not quite as good as a geothermal HVAC system, but they were amazing systems. I think what I love the most is the customized temperature control settings in different areas. There is no fighting in my home anymore over the temperature control settings!

Before I met my wife, I had terrible luck with the ladies. There was always something about the ladies I would meet that would bother me. The last one before I met my wife was terrible, but I really tried to make things work by living together in an apartment. My ex would complain that I was wasting all the money on the HVAC, but I thought it was important to invest in our comfort. It’s true that I didn’t have to invest in something so fancy, but I felt like I deserved it after working so hard paying all the bills and all. We had a huge fight and she told me to get out because I was too reckless with spending. I totally disagreed with her of course. It also wasn’t surprising to me when she tried to stop me from taking my smart thermostat. I said there was no way I was leaving without it and I ended up taking it and hooking the old dial thermostat back up. Fortunately, I met my wife soon after and I couldn’t believe I was able to find somebody so amazing and beautiful after so many terrible relationships. I knew she was the one from the start and it didn’t take us long to live together. We got along well over the years and eventually got married.

My wife and I always enjoyed watching television shows and movies in the living room near the fireplace.

We had a wood burning fireplace and it was something we enjoyed immensely.

It always provided the right amount of heating to keep us nice and toasty, and it was disappointing when we couldn’t use it in the summer months. Then eventually, my wife purchased me an electric fireplace for my birthday. This electric fireplace was really nice with a remote to adjust the temperature control settings. The other cool thing was the fact that you could have the flames working without having the heating function turned on! Suddenly, we were able to enjoy all our movies and television shows in our room next to the electric fireplace. It actually is amazing at how well the electric fireplace provides heating to the room. I love turning that thing on every single evening when I am finished with my work for the day. I am actually thinking about getting a portable electric fireplace in my office. Unfortunately, the HVAC system doesn’t even provide heating and cooling to my office, so I have been using a portable heater. I think I would feel so much better with a portable electric fireplace though because of the ambience it brings. I think it would help me be more productive with my work too while I’m taking care of my duties in the office. Eventually I’m going to have the uneven heating and cooling fixed though, but in the meantime, I’m really enjoying that new electric fireplace with my wife.
