Before I met my wife, I had terrible luck with the ladies. There was always something about the ladies I would meet that would bother me. The last one before I met my wife was terrible, but I really tried to make things work by living together in an apartment. Something that always bothered me was the air quality in the place and I was always trying to purchase quality air filters for the HVAC equipment. My ex would complain that I was wasting all the money on the HVAC, but I thought it was important to invest in our comfort. I was cleaning the HVAC unit all the time and making sure to have the ductwork cleaned as well. Towards the end of our relationship, I invested in a very fancy touch-screen smart thermostat. It’s true that I didn’t have to invest in something so fancy, but I felt like I deserved it after working so hard paying all the bills and all. We had a huge fight and she told me to get out because I was too reckless with spending. I totally disagreed with her of course. It also wasn’t surprising to me when she tried to stop me from taking my smart thermostat. I said there was no way I was leaving without it and I ended up taking it and hooking the old dial thermostat back up. Fortunately, I met my wife soon after and I couldn’t believe I was able to find somebody so amazing and beautiful after so many terrible relationships. I knew she was the one from the start and it didn’t take us long to live together. We got along well over the years and eventually got married.
