How my indoor comfort business survived the pandemic and made profits

We were about to purchase a smaller firm when the pandemic hit. I started this business seven years ago. It started as a store that stocked a few quality air conditioners. I employed an air conditioning provider and his hard work and charisma caused him to make extraordinary sales. By the time the business turned two, we were offering services such as air conditioning repairs and tune-ups. I had also grown my team to include two air conditioning technicians. We put in so much energy and tough work and grew the business into an indoor comfort business. At this point, we had built a reputation to have quality equipment and a well-qualified team to handle the HVAC installations. We were the go-to company when one wanted to find out more about air conditioning. We became so big and we’re in talks with a smaller air conditioning company that wanted to sell. As we were continuing with the talks, the pandemic hit. I did not let the negotiations stop, I moved online. At first, it was difficult to communicate online even with the regulatory committee of the cooling industry. They grant certificates to businesses such as mine. In the meantime, we came up with aggressive sales and discounts and got the new protective gear for the a/c servicemen. We also trained our employees on the guidelines to protect themselves from Covid. We also sent weekly newsletters to our customers. The key decision that helped us keep in touch with our customers was opening a WhatsApp number so that the customers could easily reach us in case they had requests like HVAC maintenance on their multi-split air conditioning system, or to improve the air quality or even upgrade their thermostats.
