Last week I had to take a 1000 mile trip for work.

The business rented a car for me so I wasn’t using my car, plus they gave me an expense debit card.

I would not need to pay anything out of pocket. I was hitting a lot of construction during my trip, which if I had to stop much more, I would be late for my first meeting. Halfway there, I lost the air conditioner. I called the business plus asked them to notify the car rental office plus see if I could get a current car, while explaining about the lack of air conditioner. The rental business called me on the internal ‘intercom’ plus asked me questions about the A/C unit. They wanted me to stop at one of their lots plus have it repaired instantly, although I was already running late. They gave me the location of a car lot that was close to a hotel. I could stop for the evening, although I couldn’t get the air conditioner repaired until the afternoon. I asked about switching cars, however they had none available until I reached my destination. The next five hundred miles were taking me further south plus into more intense heat than I had traveled from. It was a long, hot trip separate from air conditioner, however once I got out of the first meeting, I could take the car to the rental center plus trade it for an even nicer car with fantastic air conditioner. If something happens to the A/C component on the way home, I’ll have the consolation of knowing it was only going to get cooler plus not hotter.

There is something about walking out of a cool home plus into sweltering heat that is almost as exhausting as walking out into snow. I am kicking myself for not asking about where I was moving to. My mother questioned me about my choice of moving, knowing I hated the humidity as much as I hated the cold. I couldn’t think of anywhere I would always be comfortable, however where I am now, I don’t need to worry about snow. I’m pretty sure that as long as my air conditioner continues to run well, I’m going to learn to love it here. Maybe I can convince my mom to move here with me. She enjoys the south plus the weather all of us have.

I’m not a hot weather person, although I can handle the heat.

When the humidity is high, I believe appreciate I am dying.

The only thing that bothered me was that he was female. I knew men could do just as much as men, but I knew the men that worked for me. My husband had his heart set on getting a modern furnace last year.

I told him all of us could start saving now, plus when it came time for a modern furnace, all of us may have one that is even more energy efficient than his brother’s.
