After having much bad luck with an electric fireplace I purchased and trying to return it even being more of a headache I was just so glad to be rid of it and done with it! I decided instead once I got my money back to go out and buy a gas fireplace instead.

Now there were a few reasons for this.

The first and foremost reason being that if something was wrong with the gas fireplace I bought that I would be able to return it a lot easier because it was not as huge of an item and it did not take a whole ton of putting together and installing like an electric fireplace does. The other reasoning behind it is that it was cheaper and much more compact to fit in my living room. Also I think the blue flame is much more prettier than what an electric fireplace provides. Sure I will not be able to decorate the gas fireplace as much as I would an electric fireplace when the holiday season of Christmas comes about. However, it is a very small sacrifice to make to get a fireplace that is much easier to install yourself, costs a little less and is overall better looking. I do not know why I even went in for purchasing an electric fireplace in the first place. I think it just could have been all the hype within the electric fireplace that made me do it. I should have went for this gas fireplace that I have right now at this very moment in time from the start! I am so happy with this gas fireplace!

I bought an electric fireplace from a local outlet store not too long ago, and when I got the electric fireplace home and put it up it turned out that the thing did not work at all.

I was pretty mad to be totally honest here.

That was not an easy task lugging that huge thing into my home but then having to take it out of the box and do all the building and installing just to find out it did not work right was the real kicker! Just to return the electric fireplace it was a big huge major headache all together. I did not know what I was going to do to be honest. But I had no choice in the matter other than to disassemble it, get it back into the box and haul this huge king mother back into my truck and drive back to the outlet store the next day to return it! The return when I got there was not a big hassle at all. They did not argue or want proof of this and that. It was more or less a common sense type thing that if this electric fireplace was really working no one in their right mind would have went through all that to get their money back because they decided they just did not want it anymore! So I got my money back. However, I did not opt in to get another electric fireplace to replace it. I decided to just scrap the idea of having an electric fireplace in my home and I figured I would buy a gas fireplace sometime soon.

If I were you and you have not already done so, I would look into getting a heating and air conditioning protection plan from your local heating and cooling corporation. If you have yourself a heating and air conditioning protection plan you can really reduce the risk of going broke in the event a storm or other natural disaster wrecks your central heating and cooling unit to the point where you have no choice but to buy a brand new, up to date and usually very expensive central heating and air conditioning system. With the heating and cooling protection plan you will be covered! You will not have to invest thousands of dollars at short notice to buy a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system unit. You will be protected by the heating and cooling service & protection plan that you pay a very little amount for each month. And that heating and air conditioning protection plan will replace your broken and destroyed central heating and air conditioning system that was ruined in a storm or other natural disaster for no cost what so ever. The only cost may be the heating and air conditioning installation. And that really is not that much money compared to that plus many thousands of dollars for a brand new and up to date central heating and air conditioning system unit. My HVAC protection plan saved me thousands a few years ago when a storm wrecked my central heating and air conditioning system beyond repair. It could help you as well if you don’t have one already!

If you have not gotten a heating and air conditioning service plan of some sort from your local heating and air conditioning company I believe you should think twice about this and go in and get one.

Because most heating and air conditioning service plans available from your local heating and cooling company come with a heat and a/c protection plan.

And if you have a heating and air conditioning protection plan you can protect your central heating and air conditioning system from natural disasters in terms of having to buy a new HVAC unit if something were to happen. Rather than having to reinvest thousands of dollars at the drop of a hat with no warning, a heating and cooling protection plan which usually comes with the heating and air conditioning service plans will replace your central heating and air conditioning system in the event of destruction from a storm or something along those lines. Some will even offer the brand new heating and cooling system installation at no additional cost as well, and some will just make you pay for the installation but not the central heating and air conditioning system. Which that is ok too because you can get good heating and air conditioning installation for under a thousand dollars most of the time. Which is still saving you a whole ton of cash. This is why i have a heating and air conditioning service as well as protection plan with my local heating and cooling company!

Has anyone noticed that in the last year or so the cost of heating and air conditioning home services have really gone up. And I am not talking just by a little, but by quite a bit compared to what it was just a few years ago. For instance when I just had a new central heating and air conditioning system installed by the local heating and cooling company it cost me about three hundred bucks more than what it was for a friend of mine just 2 years ago. I was pretty shocked to say the least! I was not too happy about this. I guess inflation is on the rise and there is not a damn thing any single last one of us can do about it! However, I do have some hope deep down that once this new era of financial depression we are facing really sinks in within the next year or so, the cost of heating and air conditioning home services will either go back to the way they used to be a few years ago or possibly even decrease and be much cheaper. That is probably the only way any business is going to survive once the recession that is coming really hits us all hard! But for now I am stuck paying these ridiculous prices for heating and air conditioning home services and I will have to keep on paying them.

The continuously increasing prices of central heating and air conditioning systems these days are getting pretty bad. In the last few years alone the cost of brand new central heating and air conditioning systems have gone up so high that most people are needing to take out bank loans in order to be able to afford to even get one! And the people in charge of the heating and air conditioning industry know that everyone needs heating and cooling in their homes, especially in areas where you have super cold as well as super hot weather. It is really one big scam but what can anyone do about it? We all need heating and air conditioning these days, and everyone has gotten so used to relying on central heating and cooling that it seems the only way to go. However if you really think about it, there is a way around this highway robbery that the heating and air conditioning industry is throwing on us. You can go back to the old school days and get a hot water boiler or a gas furnace to take care of your heating in the winter. And then in the summer you can buy window air conditioning units to get you by. Those prices have thankfully not gone up at all because no one really uses them much anymore. But if everyone gets this idea and can break away from using central heating and air conditioning, at that time they will start raising the prices on those as well. All we can do is fight this ongoing heating and air conditioning price war!

As the summer’s heat set in, I ran into trouble. My sister had put in air conditioning and was unwilling to share it with me unless I paid for it. Because the air conditioning was the only thing keeping me comfortable at the house, I had to pay her to let me use it. I was initially angry about how things were going. I couldn’t believe I had to give her money for something like air conditioning. I realized after using it so much, it was money well spent. The air quality that my sister let me enjoy by paying for it was nice. I still had the feeling of anger and tried to not think about it but I couldn’t. I was still frustrated overall that I had to pay for it. I wondered if it was that she needed the money or maybe she is struggling financially. Then I started to notice something odd after a period of time. My sister started getting more and more clothes. I started to believe that the money I was giving her for the a/c was going to her wardrobe. I confronted her about her wardrobe increase and she said that’s what she was spending my money on. I was furious! I felt taken advantage of and used. I was basically giving her money so she can go on a shopping spree all the time. I asked for my money back but most of it was gone and she gave me what little she had left. I am mad but I wish she was more honest with me in the first place.

A few weeks ago, I began working as an HVAC technician. The first few weeks at my new job have been great. I think my trainer, Mark, is the best person that the HVAC company could give me. Outside of myself thinking about it, I have been told by countless other individuals that work at the HVAC as well. He also has a natural talent for communicating with anyone he encounters. Mark has told me that he had to learn a great deal from many years of being in difficult situations that involved some unpleasant people. He has an uncanny knack for getting along with people and finding wants to alleviate their stress through conversation and the provision of multiple viable solutions to their financial woes. This actually helps his clients to feel satisfied. From the short time I’ve spent working with Mark, I can confidently say that he embodies the epitomes of professionalism. Some time ago, a man named Erik was at home dealing with a broken air conditioner and the recent loss of a relative. When we arrived at Erik’s scheduled appointment, we can tell that he wasn’t in a great state of mind. Mark told him to put his family first and that we can come back another time. Mark said, “Let’s get together in a few weeks.” Mark is very careful and very professional like I said and I could tell that Erik really appreciated that he said that. Customers love Erik’s emotional intelligence and his empathy for all. I know our jobs are to fix heating and cooling systems, but we can all take an extra step like Mark to make sure the customer experience is number one.

To put it simply, I can’t take it anymore.

My phone rings three to five times a day, and each time it is a scam artist promising me a great deal on upgrading my electric furnace.

Last month, I had an HVAC professional come to my house and upgrade my HVAC system. I was previously using a gas furnace and decided I wanted a change, so I made that change. Somehow, these scammers must have known that I was looking to upgrade my HVAC system at some point recently. Maybe my phone or computer was hacked. That’s the only thing I can think it could be. My buddy Earl told me that he often gets calls about the length of his auto warranty. My other friend, Jessica, says she gets several calls about her auto insurance policy a day. I can honestly say that I am getting more and more irritated by each new phone call I receive. I used to respond to them, and once I almost got caught, but luckily I was able to outwit the scammer. Then I started to mess with them a little to kill time, but that soon got old and boring. These days, when I look at my cell phone, I just roll my eyes knowing that it is another scam about my HVAC system. It’s just getting annoying and I have asked around to see if there was anything I can do but there really isn’t anything. I always warn my friends about the potential scams that are out there because I know I don’t want anyone to fall victim to them.

Some people think I may be ridiculous but I don’t really care.

I have my own place and my sister happens to live with me since she just finished college. I have my own rules and I’m trying to be successful on my own. She needed a place to stay after graduation and of course, I’d let her stay with me. I know she doesn’t want to move back in with our parents and I for one don’t blame her at all. They have a lot of rules and curfews and such. Basically, living with our parents means that you won’t have any sort of social life. My sister asked if I wouldn’t turn the air conditioning on but the temperature outside is 52 degrees! It’s like a heat wave out here and for the last two months the temperatures were in the teens or lower. I feel extremely warm after those two months and a little air conditioning won’t kill anyone. I also think she feels I am trying to kick her out, which I’m not. I did have an HVAC tech come to the place a month or so ago but it’s what I always do. I have had an HVAC technician come to the house in the same month for the last 4 years because I’m preparing for the summer. I just want to make sure that my cooling system is ready to go. Some say it might be a little too early to get my HVAC system looked at, but it’s “My house, my rules.”
