There tends to be a bit of oversimplified versions of events that go through my head.

I guess that’s somewhat better than always seeing or preparing for the worst in every scenario.

But seeing things in the easiest, most uncomplicated light often results in abrupt reality checks. So when it came time to replace the HVAC unit, I was not looking to get a bad surprise because I wasn’t considering all the facts. When the HVAC technician initially warned us that our heat pump was nearing the end of its life, we took notice for sure. Immediately, we began saving for the new heating and cooling equipment that would replace the old heat pump. But trying to figure out just what sort of model of quality heating and air we wanted proved to be tough. We hadn’t even considered HVAC equipment in 25 years. And let me tell you, HVAC technology has come leaps and bounds in that amount of time. So we leaned on the HVAC professionals at the HVAC company to help us sort out our heating and cooling needs. Plus, the HVAC contractor came out to make sure that everything went smoothly. He suggested that we get the ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing done prior to the installation of the new heat pump. But the ductwork checked out okay. This is something that is not always the case and ends up being an ugly and expensive surprise for a homeowner. The new HVAC unit is awesome and all the features that come with it are amazing. I’m also very thankful for the HVAC company who made this whole thing very approachable with no bad surprises lurking.

I love when I can do something that is both sustainable and convenient as well.

This is not a set of circumstances that comes along all that often. And I never thought I would experience it when it came to heating and cooling. But that’s exactly what has happened in our new home. Normally, when I do something sustainable and good for the earth, I’m usually giving a bit on my part. And that’s fine with me. When it came to HVAC cooling, which is the priority in my region, I always went for max efficiency. My intention on getting the most from the HVAC cooling was twofold. I wanted to save precious resources and do my part for the earth. And I wanted to help hold down heating and cooling costs as well. But with the new house, we have quality heating and air with big time sustainable benefits. Our home is air conditioned and heated using a geothermal heat pump. This is an HVAC unit which uses the near constant temperature of the earth to extract heating and cooling energy. This will save plenty of resources while also saving us a ton of money through the years. And that’s the other most sustainable thing about the new HVAC unit. We can plan on quality heating and air from this HVAC unit for at least 30 plus years if not longer. That’s my idea of that perfect intersection of sustainability and convenience. It’s a rare occurrence but one that I’m truly excited about when it comes to making the most out of our heating and cooling for decades to come.

I like to get every last bit of value from anything I spend my money on.

So if that means that I use nearly 30 year old HVAC equipment, then so be it.

I mean I’m not into actually showing off HVAC equipment. All I’m really interested in is quality heating and air. So while I had that, I didn’t care how old the HVAC unit was. That said, I knew that it wasn’t going to last forever. There would be a time where the HVAC technician would tell me to prepare of it would simply breakdown never to run again. Fortunately for me, the latter did not take place and I was actually able to plan for the replacement of my HVAC unit. And the HVAC serviceman was indeed involved in giving me a heads up as to how long the HVAC unit would last. I took him at his word as these HVAC professionals know their stuff and we’re lucky to get their expert advice. So I called the HVAC company to make an appointment with the HVAC contractor. This guy actually came out to my house in order to give the entire HVAC system the once over. He concurred with the HVAC technician that time was of the essence. Fortunately, the ductwork passed inspection and would fit with the new heating and cooling equipment. From there, it was simply choosing a model that would fit my HVAC needs and they took care of the rest. It wasn’t but a few weeks later that we had an installation date. Now that I have the new HVAC unit, I have to say that I’m amazed by how far HVAC technology has come in all these years.

I know for sure that I have taken my life for granted, in large part, my entire life.

I was raised in an affluent manner. Our house was well appointed and perfectly HVAC maintained. There just wasn’t much of a care for me as it all came so easy. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t make an effort because I did. But the ball sure was teed up nicely for me. Even into my 30’s now, it’s been a good roll for me. I have a house I love which also has quality heating and air. The job I do is a passion and I have a terrific partner in my wife. So when I got sick, it was hard to process. But when you are facing a life threatening illness, you get real about it right away. Thankfully, I had great medical people around me and am now out of danger. However, the recovery will be lengthy and much of it requires rest. It was hard for me to even get up to go to the bathroom much less keep changing the thermostat setting. Fortunately, I was able to take care of that. All I had to do was call the HVAC professionals. They are the ones who always come through for me whenever I have any sort of heating and cooling issue. For this, they simply installed a smart thermostat. The beauty of the smart thermostat isn’t just that it takes care of the heating and cooling operation for you. No, the beauty of it in my situation is that I’m able to control the thermostat from an app on my phone.

When I was a kid and I got a present on my birthday or Christmas, I simply just tore into that thing.

The anticipation was just more than I could bear and I wanted to be enjoying my new toy.

There was no time for reading directions or making sure warranty paperwork was stored properly. That stuff meant nothing to me. My wife, however, learned all about the HVAC warranty and she even made sure to register it with the factory. So when I panicked months later about that very thing, she just sort of smiled at me.

We really lucked out to have gotten through the pandemic year without having a major HVAC equipment breakdown. This good fortune did not go unnoticed. Just prior to the pandemic happening, the HVAC technician warned us that our heat pump was at the end of its service. The HVAC professional told us to watch for heating and cooling cost spikes which would indicate the end was near. Well, that was sort of the worst news as we would find out weeks later. My wife lost her job and I was forced to take a pay cut while working from the air conditioning of home. The last thing we could afford was new heating and cooling equipment. So we did our best to just lighten the load as much as possible on the heat pump. We also really made sure that we were doing all we could to help the HVAC equipment maximize effort and efficiency. No more cranking down the air conditioning to cool the house off quickly. Instead, we got accustomed to the house being warmer. Our region see air conditioning for at least 8 months of the year. So the warmer we could stand the house the better. And the heat pump virtually takes the winter off where we live. Believe it or not, we got through. My wife found a new job and I’m back to my full salary plus bonus. The first thing we did was to call the HVAC company in order to get the installation of the new, quality heating and air stuff going. We are now in our first week with the new HVAC unit and we are both amazed by the new HVAC technology and supremely thankful to be able to afford it.

There are sizable grocery shops and plenty of stuff for the house. Of course, there is the tree and the current decorations. Seems love Christmas lights don’t last love they once did. And I stop at the hardware store to buy a case of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C air filters as well. That sounds weird right? It’s not love the Christmas season is when I buy my annual allotment of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C air filters. No, it’s a reminder for me to be ever vigilant about making sure the air filter gets checked on a daily basis during the holiday season. But why would you need to check an air filter that often during the holiday season. It’s the candles man. My fiance is crazy about the candles in our home. She burns candles during the holidays love they are simply going out of style. And for me, I didn’t realize until it was almost too late just where all the burnt candle wax ends up. You guessed it. All that wax goes straight to the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C return and lands on the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C air filter. Hence, having many air filters on hand during the holiday season. I l received this the hard way when I observed that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit was continually cycling on over and over. It wasn’t all that cold outside so I was mystified. As I constantly do prior to calling the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier, I made sure there weren’t any obstructions inside and out and I checked the air filter. That air filter was almost completely sealed with candle wax.

The man was such a sweetheart and enjoyed me so much that he could never be truly mean to me. But when ever I complained about something, he’d grin at me and point out how soft I was. It didn’t truly dawn on me then the perspective he was coming from. It does now. This was a guy who never even had residential Heating, Ventilation, and A/C until well into his middle adult life. And that’s the a single of the least of the privations he experienced in his life. But just thinking about the fact that he didn’t even experience current Heating, Ventilation, and A/C technology until well into his forties or even early fifties is something. Just considering that gives me pause for thought. The Wintertide wouldn’t have been all that sizable of a deal. We don’t have much intensity when it comes to Wintertide weather around this section of the country. I’m sure they got my just fine with a wood stove. No, it’s the summer time that makes me cringe to guess about without the aid of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling. There truly wasn’t much a single could do however let the heat dictate your life. They got up well before sunrise to get their toil in. And the heat of the day was spent in the shade with as little movement as possible. Just the hint of a breeze was such a prize. It does make me suppose a bit soft as I rest inside my perfectly air conditioned house.

Anyone living with residential Heating, Ventilation, and A/C can save currency around here during the summer time heat.

So many people just automatically recognize that they will have to spend money important Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling bills during the summer. This is a fallacy. Do the energy bills rise during the summer? Yes, however how much depends really on how committed a person is to saving on Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling. It only makes sense that if the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling is running more, there will be a higher utility cost. But we can do some pretty simple things to deeply effect just how much we spend money in cooling costs. As a local, I watch people come to the section and end up not liking it because they focus so much on the summer time heat. And to make it worse, they go from a single source of air conditioning to the next. It’s love the main thing is to avoid any sort of exposure to nature. This is the wrong well to go about it and a sure fire way to drain your bank account with Heating, Ventilation, and A/C cooling costs. The trick is to actemperature to the heat in the Springtime. Let the house get a bit warmer over the Springtime weeks. So by the time summer time rolls around, an 79 degree house during the afternoon hours feels pretty dang cool. The facts of the matter are that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C thermostat setting is the key to real savings during the heat of summer. Getting a bit more accustomed to heat will help you save tons of currency in the summer.
