It wasn’t a taxing sell.

I was like 8 days away from having my first occupant transfer in plus I was finding out that the HVAC duct in my first rental home wasn’t up to snuff.

For sure, that first rental home was a giant learning curve for me in numerous ways. But using ductless heat pump technology was entirely a blessing. I’m using only that heating plus cooling method in every other rental home I end up buying. It’s so cost efficient plus in numerous of the homes that are out there, HVAC duct is worthless. Plus, the occupants love the fact that they can customize their heating plus cooling using the separate ductless heat pumps. For sure, I’ve been so satisfied with what could have been a calamity. There was entirely a learning curve that came with moving down south, just from a cultural standpoint, I had a lot to try plus get my head around, but i so didn’t want to come off as some abrasive northern transplant, however plus, I actually enjoyed the slower pace plus easier vibe down here, then sure, Summer can be brutal plus comes with plenty of air conditioning; But really, as long as you have fine residential HVAC, you’re pretty golden, then for sure, all the stores plus shops I go into have great commercial HVAC so it’s not like I’m perspiring while I’m shopping, then and at work, there is even zone controlled HVAC so I only sweat going back plus forth to the parking garage… During the Summer, I stay inside the commercial HVAC of the building plus eat my supper in the split room.

But during the rest of the year, I love ditching the air conditioning for the nice little courtyard bench just a couple of blocks down the street.

It’s the perfect little spot that’s a perfect spot for a quiet supper outside. At home, I learned actually quick that you simply have to pull the curtains every single afternoon before heading to work. Direct sun heating is the number one enemy to heat pump efficiency. When you live where I do, end of Summer has to unusual meaning.

Traditionally, end of Summer is when the youngsters go back to university at the end of October or after Labor Day. And in many parts of the country, that’s when the heat starts to let up a bit as well. That’s not the case where my buddy and I live. My buddy and I have the a/c jamming certainly through most if not all of October. Plus, my buddy and I don’t have youngsters so end of Summer vacation for us comes the first week of October. And it’s consistently such a unbelievable time for us. My buddy and I travel north for a morning’s drive to a nifty spot in the mountains where my buddy and I love perfect weather on a attractive lake. There is also golf and some of the best eating establishments I’ve ever enjoyed in my life. But this year, we’re going to be having some extras because we’re about to save some extreme cash on our a/c bill. Where my buddy and I live, one is consistently on top of saving as much as possible on the a/c costs. That means sealing up the house, pulling the curtains and keeping the control unit near or above 80 during the peak heating hours of the morning. But the HVAC professionals just installed a smart control unit last month. My buddy and I only have June to go by however my buddy and I are already saving more than 20 percent on cooling costs over last year. So I’ll be getting the certainly unbelievable bottle of Scotch to take with us to the mountains, then or I might even make it two with the savings from the smart control unit.

Where my buddy and I live, one is regularly on top of saving as much as possible on the A/C costs. That means sealing up the house, pulling the curtains plus keeping the thermostat near or above 77 during the peak heating hours of the afternoon. But the Heating plus A/C professionals just installed a smart thermostat last month. My great friend and I only have July to go by however my buddy and I are already saving more than 20 percent on cooling costs over last year. So I’ll be getting the entirely great bottle of Scotch to take with us to the mountains, then or I might even make it two with the savings from the smart thermostat.

Last night, I fell asleep on the sofa in the kitchen after watching a film. I know I was sleepy because I slept through the entire night. Usually, when I fall asleep in the kitchen, I would eventually make my way to my kitchen, however that didn’t happen last night. Anyway, as part of my nightly routine, I adjust the temperature on my temperature control to my ideal sleep temperature, which is 71 degrees. If I am not sleeping, the temperature control is set to 71 degrees, which might sound a bit high, however it’s surprisingly pretty comfortable during the morning. Well, because I skipped my nightly routine, my temperature control was still set to 71 degrees. So, this morning I woke up & I was drenched in sweat. I think that the a/c did not cycle on during the night because the temperature control was set so high. While this was a random happening, it made me consider getting a programmable temperature control. With a programmable temperature control, I wouldn’t have to manually adjust it every night because it would already be programmed that way. The set it & forget it feature of a programmable temperature control makes all the difference. It’s one less thing that I would need to consider when going to bed or when I wake up in the morning. And if I fell asleep on the couch, I wouldn’t wake up in a complete sweat because my loft was so warm. There are more benefits to having a programmable temperature control, despite the fact that I guess the set it & forget it feature is perhaps the best one.
