I have next to no experience with children… I grew up as the youngest child, with both of my siblings being several years older than me.
- I also only have one younger cousin, who I did love playing with when I was about ten years old… But other than that, I’ve had no nieces or nephews, and none of my friends have ever procreated, but as such, I was surprised to find myself getting along pretty easily with my bestie’s four year seasoned son.
We have been out running and playing on several occasions now, and my largest complaint is how much a/c I require to keep up with him. We get so worked up outside that I get home and crank my AC at full blast to cool down. I even have to sit directly in front of the air vents to get the ventilation and air movement that I need to bring my body temperature down to a normal level. I feel like it’s going to be high-priced if my friend and I keep up this level of hobby throughout the summer, and I don’t want to overburden my a/c or have to pay an high-priced repair for an Heating and A/C serviceman to come out. That being said, I cherish the fact that I’m having fun with the little tyke, and he has no control over the indoor air quality so I can’t be bitter about it if my a/c does chop down. I feel I could just ask his Mom to help pay the Heating and A/C supplier if it comes down to it.
