Before I moved into this house, I asked for the heat & air records, when I first made my request, I noticed that the previous owners were shocked… They were not prepared for someone to ask about the Heating, Ventilation & A/C records & I could tell that they had no idea what to give me.
To make things easier, I asked them if they could just give me a general rundown on their involvement with caring for their Heating, Ventilation & A/C system… I thought that they would tell me about the frequency in which they took care of their Heating, Ventilation & A/C system, any major problems they experienced, or even the age of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system.
To my surprise, they couldn’t give me a single piece of information… According to them, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system ran just fine & they hadn’t experienced any problems with either the furnace or a/c that were worth noting… Upon hearing this, I contemplated not purchasing the house because I didn’t know what the state of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system would be, but however, everything else about the house was perfect & I didn’t want to pass up on purchasing it just because of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. Heating, Ventilation & A/C systems could be replaced, even though they were fancy. I couldn’t change the location of the house or the bones, so it was more pressing for me to find a house that I genuinely liked & worry about the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system later, once I had the keys to the house, I immediately called an Heating, Ventilation & A/C business to schedule a thorough tune up. I’m easily happy I did this because the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional told me all that needed to be replaced was the air filter; Everything else was fine.
