So there are going to be some extra goodies on our end of Summer holiday this year.
When you live where I do, end of Summer has to peculiar meaning.
Traditionally, end of Summer is when the kids go back to school at the end of October or after Labor Day. And in numerous parts of the country, that’s when the heat starts to let up a bit as well. That’s not the case where my fine friend and I live. My associate and I have the air conditioning jamming actually through most if not all of October. Plus, my fine friend and I don’t have kids so end of Summer holiday for us comes the first week of November. And it’s always such a great time for us. My associate and I travel north for a afternoon’s drive to a nifty spot in the mountains where my fine friend and I cherish perfect weather on a charming lake. There is also hockey plus some of the best restaurants I’ve ever enjoyed in my life. But this year, we’re going to be having some extras because we’re about to save some serious money on our air conditioning bill. Where my fine friend and I live, one is always on top of saving as much as possible on the air conditioning costs. That means sealing up the house, pulling the curtains plus keeping the temperature control near or above 76 during the peak heating hours of the afternoon. But the HVAC professionals just installed a smart temperature control last month. My associate and I only have June to go by but my fine friend and I are already saving more than 20 percent on cooling costs over last year. So I’ll be getting the actually fine bottle of Scotch to take with us to the mountains. Or I might even make it two with the savings from the smart temperature control.
