Because I do not live in a Northern weather conditions, I do not have to use my heater as often as a lot of people do.
where I live, my friend and I normally have very mild winters. There have been some years where I have not turned on my furnace at all for the whole year. In fact, if I can get away without using my central heating, I will do it. There are many reasons for this, the first of which is cost. I suppose it is more costly to run my heating than it is to run my cooling. I use the AC, like I said, most of the year, although I observed that my power bill is highest in the winter, which leads me to suppose that the furnace is more costly to operate than the A/C is. The second reason that I avoid using my central heating if possible is that I am just not a fan of forced air heating. That heated air dries out my skin, makes my lips chop, as well as hurts my throat as well as sinuses. I understand that it can also harm your wooden furniture as well. Anyway, I say all that to say this. I had to use my heater a lot this past winter. This was one of the longest spells of cold weather that I can remember us having. I turned on my heater before Halloween as well as kept it on all the way to the beginning of January. I realize that people who live in northern weather conditionss might be saying to themselves, so what? I understand that, but it is very unproper for me nonetheless. I will admit that I entirely enjoyed having a nice long winter season this year. I love wearing scarves as well as jackets, so it was very nice to be able to love those kinds of clothing for a little bit longer this year. Plus, I entirely went shopping as well as bought more of them as well as was able to put them away for next year. I still have a little portable heater in my office at work because it gets freezing cold there! Everybody has one. I wish they would adjust the Heating, Ventilation, as well as A/C control equipment settings in the office building.
