If you take good care of your HVAC system, it will last for many years. Mom always called the HVAC company when it was time for maintenance or if she thought there might be a problem. As a result, she used the HVAC system for almost 20 years. Even though the unit was still operational, the home would be more marketable with a new HVAC system and a modern thermostat. Our outdated dial thermostat has been replaced by smart thermostats, which are more contemporary. I knew I would use the HVAC company for that as well because I saw mom using their plumbing services.
