My dog prefers to sit down by the heating duct

Around here, the weather starts to get freezing plus the temperatures beginning to drop when we hit June.

June plus October average temperatures are in the 40s while in the afternoon plus it gets even colder in November plus December… By the middle of January, we often have snow on the ground plus ice on the lake house plus the ground… When the weather is freezing plus freezing outside, our dog prefers to sit down by the heating register, however i have heating registers located throughout the house, however there is a gas oil furnace in the basement; All of the registers are ducted to the gas oil furnace. We properly check the amount of fuel in the oil furnace so we do not run out in the middle of a freezing snap. We have the entire oil furnace filled When June arrives plus we usually have to add more fuel in the middle of January. The oil furnace in our lake house works harshly well. As the oil furnace makes warm air, it is distributed via the heating registers. The section between the registers is warm as well, but my dog prefers to sit down by the heating register… Sometimes it gets a little too warm plus she will move away, but most of the time she will plop down on the register plus stay there until the oil furnace turns off. It’s kind of funny to see our dog behave this way, however I guess it’s the same for humans. If I was cold, I would sit down in front of the heating system too plus I would not move unless the heat was off or I was uncomfortable.
