While I can count on a bunch of benefits from the aging process, I guess I’ll take the fact that I’m still learning and applying what I’ve learned.
I think that might be a good definition of wisdom.
I faced a lot of situations so having some experience really does help. So there’s some benefit when it comes to aging like that. I also have a good excuse to take an evening off from exercise when I don’t feel like leaving the central air conditioning of my house. Other than that, I don’t have a ton of praise for the aging process. My body has more aches and pains along with other maladies. And for a long while there, I was feeling as though I was just always dealing with some sort of respiratory issue. Finally, I went to the doctor to see what was going on. My doctor is really great and paid really close attention. She asked me all sorts of interesting questions that included the HVAC equipment. But I told her all about these lingering respiratory issues, I figured I’d just get some sort of prescription. Instead, the doctor insisted that I call the HVAC company. This was not at all what I was expecting. But my doctor thought the indoor air quality of my home was causing my respiratory problems. She then suggested that I change my HVAC air filter to a HEPA filter. And she also suggested to me that I get the HVAC professionals to do the ductwork cleaning. So I did just what the doctor ordered. And with the HEPA filter and clean HVAC air ducts, I’m breathing better than I have in a long time.
