My guy is a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business.
That is a fact that our parents can’t seem to forget.
They are consistently calling him over to the house to perform some style of Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C service. My mother used to call him consistently for furnace service. His outdated gas furnace is consistently making noises plus threatening to quit. She had our guy oiling the blower, lubricating the mower belt plus cleaning the dust out of it on a bi-weekly basis. My father had our guy setting up air conditioners in every rental property that he bought. My sibling even took luck of him plus got a free Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C tune up at his apartment. I now have put our foot down. My guy is too nice to tell them no free Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C labor. He gets paid a wage at work. He does Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C repair, repair plus upgrade all afternoon long. He is in demand. He does not have to take side work, especially free sidework. I told our family that the free work stops. They are no longer allowed to call or text his personal PC. I told them if they have Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C needs, they need to go through his dealer. Then our guy will come to their house on the clock plus get paid for it. It is insane that they expect him to just do everything out of the goodness of his heart. If anyone is getting free heating plus cooling help it will be myself and others plus that is only because the people I was with and I live together. I wouldn’t expect him to do it if the people I was with and I didn’t.
