I was looking forward to going home and relaxing for a couple of hours before my friends were going to arrive.
I thought my work was done for the day and I could go home early.
I looked at my desk and something was amiss. I noticed I had a file that had fell onto the floor. I had more paperwork that had to be completed before I could go home. I was tired of looking at HVAC specs and I wasn’t in the mood to work anymore. I had hyped myself up about going home early, and I was blaming my mood on the paperwork. I was the one who had mislaid the file, and it wasn’t anyone’s fault but my own. I started transcribing the notes about the new air conditioning unit that needed to be ordered. I had all of the computer work done, except for putting in the order. I started the process of putting the AC unit specs into the ordering website, when my computer glitched. In my haste to get done, I hadn’t saved my work. Everything I had been working on for the last hour was no longer there. I tried to hit the back button, which only made it worse. I was sitting there with tears in my eyes, when the boss walked in. I told him what had happened, and he walked over to my computer. With a few clicks, he had all of my work restored. He told me he had made the same mistake several times, and realized there were many ways to restore your page. I got the AC order into the company on time, and I headed home to have fun with my friends.
