I think I’ll stay home until June.

You would think that growing up in an area that has winter seven months a year would make you okay with the cold the weather.

Most people may be okay with it, but I never was.

I couldn’t wait to grow up, go to school, get a job, and move out of this area. The job I got sounded ideal, and I thought I would be travelling. My job didn’t give me the chance to travel, because they thought they needed me here more. When I broke my leg, I couldn’t work, and I was stuck in the house for almost four months. By the time my leg healed, it was winter, and I didn’t want to leave the house. I had an excellent furnace, and it had recently been cleaned and serviced. I knew how comfortable my home was and thought I would be a fool to leave it when I had heat inside, and nothing but cold and snow outside. I didn’t want to go outside and hop on a snowmobile that didn’t have a heating system, and go across the tundra to other people’s houses that didn’t have heat. I worked for the oil company and I would trace where the problems were occurring. I decided that since I still had rehab for my leg I was going to stay home until June. i would then find another job so I could move. Before the end of winter, I was going to have a job where I didn’t need to worry about snow and cold. I wanted to live where air conditioning was mandatory and winter was something you read about on the internet.
