Adding heated flooring would have been smart

I feel like most husbands don’t care what their wives do to the house.

Whether it is decor or remodeling, the wife gets to decide.

My husband is very vocal on his wants. Even if I am paying for the project, he wants to have input. He usually has things that he feels are necessary and the right thing to do that I don’t agree with. When we moved in the house we agreed that redoing the floors was a must. The old carpet was worn and coming up in places. It looked terrible too. Replacing it with tile floors was a requirement. I wanted to do rugs in the living room, tile in the kitchen and bathrooms and hardwood in the hallway. My husband pushed to do all the same tile everywhere. His thing is that it would make the house bigger. I wasn’t pleased by this. He won that argument. I then wanted to do heated flooring throughout the house. We were ripping up the floors anway. Seemed like the right time to add this heating system. My husband said we live in the south and the floors won’t get cold. So no heater. Well now that the project is done I can say I like all the floors being the same tile. If anything breaks I can replace it easily. The tile doesn’t show dirt and does make the home bigger. My husband was wrong about the radiant heating though. The tile is freezing cold in the winter and it would have been nice to get this system.
