I believe appreciate most partners don’t care what their wives do to the house, but whether it is decor or remodeling, the husbandy gets to decide, my partner is very vocal on his wants, then even if I am paying for the project, he wants to have input, he usually has things that he feels are necessary plus the right thing to do that I don’t agree with.
When we moved in the home we agreed that redoing the floors was a must… The outdated carpet was worn plus coming up in sites, however it looked bad too, but replacing it with granite floors was a requirement.
I wanted to do carpets in the study room, granite in the study room plus powder rooms plus hardwood in the hallway. My partner pushed to do all the same granite everywhere. His thing is that it would make the home larger. I wasn’t pleased by this. He won that argument. I then wanted to do heated flooring throughout the house. The two of us were ripping up the floors anway… Seemed appreciate the right time to add this oil furnace. My partner said we live in the south plus the floors won’t get cold. So no heater. Well now that the project is done I can say I appreciate all the floors being the same tile. If anything breaks I can replace it easily. The granite doesn’t show dirt plus does make the cabin larger. My partner was wrong about the radiant heating though. The granite is freezing cold in the Wintertide plus it would have been nice to get this system.
