I had to give up my gym membership during the pandemic

I discovered a way to have a daily fitness routine that works with my schedule.

  • I have a young son and he is not yet in daycare because I have not made that decision to send him yet.

Partly because of the pandemic, he was born shortly before we went into quarantine, so at that point daycare was out of the question. Thankfully, I work from home, so I was able to adjust my schedule accordingly. The only thing is, I had to give up my gym membership during that time. Not only was I not going to the gym, but it was closed anyway due to lockdowns. So, it just made sense. Anyway, while at home with my son, I wasn’t able to work out much. Taking care of him became my first priority. So, my morning routine of working out prior to starting my day was replaced with getting him up and fed and ready for his day. By the time I did that, it was time for me to start working so there was no time to work out in the mornings. Well, unless I woke up an hour earlier each day and that is what I have decided to do. Typically, I am up between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., but I have switched that to 5:30 a.m. Having that extra hour in the morning has given me the time to workout. And I am working out at home because as I mentioned, I no longer have a gym membership. I found a fitness routine online that is both fun and easy to do in my living room. And best of all, I have already seen great results.
