My cousin helped myself and others install a couple of ductless mini splits

I was surprised when my cousin told myself and others that she could help myself and others install a nice HVAC idea in my home. She said I would save thoUSAnds of dollars by not having to go for a professional replacement. She showed myself and others the DIY ductless mini splits which had up to 5 zones. I asked him what made them DIY as opposed to any other ductless mini split. She explained to myself and others that it was the line sets with pre compressed refrigerant plus the simple linkions that made it DIY. The lines were already prepared plus color coded making it simple for the average homeowner to take care of the replacement. She said that even the electric linkions were all labeled making it simple to link everything. Then I asked what was the difference between these ductless mini splits plus the multi chop systems. She said there wasn’t much of a difference other than the fact that a multi chop idea was designed to give heating plus cooling for the entire household with up to 8 zones linked to a single condenser unit. That seemed impressive to me, however she said those systems had to be installed by the professionals since they didn’t DIY systems care about that. They had much greater condensers plus only the experts were qualified to charge refrigerant to systems care about that apparently. So the two of us ended up getting multiple DIY ductless mini splits plus the two of us installed those. It wasn’t as challenging as I thought it would be, it was just a matter of figuring out the best locations to install the indoor units plus drilling through the walls to the outside to get the line sets through.
