A lot of people look at me like I am insane, but I do have a modular kitchen.
I have a shipping container right in our side lawn that serves as our kitchen.
I just didn’t have the space to make our beach house kitchen good enough. I need to put an addition on the lake house but I don’t have the currency right now. So for now, a shipping container kitchen is the best I can do. I have to say, I kind of enjoy that little kitchen. I like that all our stuff is separate from the house. I just keep a small fridge inside the lake house for our hubby. All the stuff I cook with is in the modular kitchen. I have an oven, stove top, microwave, dishwasher in addition to plenty of room to prepare. I make dinner in addition to it is like many steps outside the lake house to get into the kitchen for the meal. My husband and I frequently hang around outside and eat now. Maybe once it gets cold I won’t like it as well. For right now I am not rushing the addition because I like being sectioned off; Currently our lake house only has room for a tiny kitchen. I would barely have room to prep in addition to I could not fit a dishwasher. No person should have to go through this in her kitchen. So for right now this is the best I can do. My dream kitchen would be linked to the house and have acres of counter space in quartz in addition to recessed lighting. I also want top of the line appliances! Right now I can barely afford a builder to create an addition.
