My previous home was just too good for me to sell.
Not only was it located in a fantastic area, but it was such a beautiful home, I just couldn’t let it go.
But I also couldn’t live there any longer. My mother was having health issues in her old age, so I planned on moving closer to her to help her with her daily needs. I decided instead of selling the home, I would rent it out. I honestly thought with how great of a house it was, I would have a ton of people interested. But after a couple of weeks, I was surprised when I had no one, not even one person interested. I started thinking about what could cause people to not want to live in a home. This house was in a great area, next to great schools and had its own pool, what’s missing? After a while, I thought about the air conditioning unit. I realized that when I left that home, the A/C unit wasn’t in the best condition, and it wasn’t in the best shape. I didn’t mind replacing the heating and cooling unit in the house, and so during my free time I drove back over to the house to let in the HVAC technician for a new HVAC installation. After a new and modern air conditioning unit was installed, one that was very efficient, it was only then that I noticed a change. Suddenly I had multiple people interested, just as I had hoped. It didn’t take long before I was able to find someone to rent the home out to.
