Sometimes, you just have to go with your gut.
And that’s exactly what I did.
A pretty random event ended up entirely decreasing our life a bit. A neighbor of mine entirely wanted to get out of the air conditioning in addition to out of the city. I’m a pressing nature lover so I agreed to go with her. There was an seasoned new home way out in the woods that she had frequented since she was a small girl. It was a small, family run place with less than a dozen rooms. I was all in because I too wanted to have some time out of the city. The people I was with and I arrived to find a unquestionably rustic situation for sure. The place had indoor plumbing in addition to electricity in addition to that’s about it. There was no new Heating and Air Conditioning technology or residential Heating and Air Conditioning to speak of. The place was sort of a pressing rambling lake house in a way. But it was in the middle of some of the most pristine land I had ever seen. The family that owned the place didn’t live there so it was sort of an honor plan thing. They did come in once a day to check on things. During a single of those visits I got to talking to the owner who was looking to sell. And a month later, I own that cabin. Our first order of business was putting ductless heat pumps in all of the rooms. There will be other updates as well. However, I want to be careful not to mess with the special character of the place. Yet, new Heating and Air Conditioning technology in the form of ductless heat pumps were in order for sure.
