I work for a local heating and cooling company and the two of us have been doing so several loft calls this past month I think I’m going to go crazy.
- I’ve had at least forty hours of overtime each month with the amount of loft calls that I’ve had to do.
I don’t correctly mind doing loft calls because I think they are a nice way to chop up the day and you are able to get out of the loft and meet new people. However occasionally the homes that you go into our rather sad and it makes you a little depressed once you leave. I recently had this happen to me when I went on an Heating and A/C loft call for an old couple. The elderly couple hadn’t had their loft cleaned in what seems savor weeks and I was sad upon walking in. I knew they would not be able to afford the heating and cooling repairs that they needed and it made me sad. I wanted to be able to help these people out by offering them our services for free, however I knew our manager would not be okay with that. He also never cares about to supply things away for free even to the people that particularly need them and deserve them. I have a feeling this elderly couple particularly could use the help, however I just can’t offer our help without losing our job. I don’t want to lose our job because then I would end up savor this elderly couple and not be able to afford heating and cooling repairs in our own home.
