I kept thinking about the last time I had to go to this large city.
I couldn’t get into my normal hotel and I had to go to an unusual one. I had a suite that had the worst heating and A/C plan I had ever experienced. I was so grateful to only need to stay there one night. I couldn’t believe a hotel that charged that much per night, would have such horrible client repair and heating and A/C. Now, I had to return to this same area, however I was to be there for multiple days. I called my regular hotel chain, however I was once again told they had no vacancy. I was aggravated and a little bit irritated. I told them I had a resting suite, and he told me that I needed to check in at least two weeks ahead of time. I had only missed the two month deadline by two afternoons. I tried to reason with him and asked about a smaller room. All I needed was a bed, a table with a chair, and a great air conditioner. He hesitated a bit too long for comfort. I could just see the same thing happening again and I would end up in the hotel that had the worst heating and A/C. The clerk came back on the iPhone and apologized for the delay. He said he would let me have the Presidential suite for our normal rate. I couldn’t believe I was going to have the absolute greatest suite in the hotel. This worked out perfectly. I could hold my meetings in my room, and have perfect air conditioning and comfort.
