I went to a hotel close to my home location, because I wanted to be around during the day when the house was being fumigated. I want to make sure the pest control company got the shed in the barn as well. It was part of the deal and I worried that they would only do the house. I went to the hotel the night before the pest control appointment. The hotel desk clerk was very friendly. She checked me into a room and gave me a small tour of the facility. It wasn’t very busy so I was glad to see her give me the personal touch. Unfortunately, the AC in my room stopped working about two hours later. When I called the front desk, I got a rude guy on the phone. I requested to talk to the clerk from the morning, but the rude guy told me she was gone for the day. I went down to the front desk to talk to the clerk about the AC in my room. He told me that was the last room on the second floor that faces the garden. He wanted me to settle for a less expensive room with a view of the laundry area. It wasn’t my fault the AC wasn’t working and if I was moving rooms, it was going to be an upgrade. The clerk and I did not see eye to eye until I threatened to call the corporate office.
