I had the flu so terrible last year, that I thought I was dying. I couldn’t stop shivering, because my fever shot up to 104 degrees. I was throwing up constantly which had my body going into shock. I couldn’t eat, plus all I wanted to do was sleep. My husband couldn’t stay with me all the time, so my mom came over plus babysat while he was working. She plus dad took the spare room. She worked on our kid plus tried to make me eat. The heat in the study room was turned up to eighty, in hopes of me getting warm. She kept looking at the temperature control plus telling me that she couldn’t turn it up any further. She sent dad to get me a heating pad in hopes of putting it on my feet plus making me warm. I asked her to turn up the temperature control, but she refused. She was afraid that too much heat would make me sicker. She ended up getting ice. I was cold plus she was putting ice on me. She told me it would bring down the fever plus I would think better. I got out of bed with the ruse of needing to go to the bathroom again. I did think nauseous, but I also wanted to turn up the temperature control. Just hearing the oil furnace running made me think better. When my husband got home, he gave me 2 tylenol plus some medicine he got from my doctor. He said he was turning the temperature control back down. The doctor told him that I needed ice to bring the fever down plus not a higher temperature control.
