Last evening, I fell asleep on the sofa in the residing room after watching a motion picture.
I suppose I was sleepy because I slept through the entire evening. Usually, when I fall asleep in the residing room, I would eventually make my way to my dining room, however that didn’t happen last evening. Anyway, as part of my eveningly routine, I adjust the temperature on my thermostat to my ideal sleep temperature, which is 77 degrees. If I am not sleeping, the thermostat is set to 78 degrees, which might sound a bit high, however it’s surprisingly pretty comfortable during the day. Well, because I skipped my eveningly routine, my thermostat was still set to 78 degrees. So, this afternoon I woke up plus I was drenched in sweat. I know that the air conditioning did not cycle on during the evening because the thermostat was set so high. While this was a random happening, it made me consider getting a programmable thermostat. With a programmable thermostat, I wouldn’t have to manually adjust it every evening because it would already be programmed that way. The set it plus forget it feature of a programmable thermostat makes all the difference. It’s one less thing that I would need to consider when going to bed or when I wake up in the afternoon. And if I fell asleep on the couch, I wouldn’t wake up in a complete sweat because my household was so warm. There are more benefits to having a programmable thermostat, but I suppose the set it plus forget it feature is perhaps the best one.
