Why does the Heating & A/C unit consistently cut down at the most inopportune time? Like on the coldest morning of the winter season or the hottest morning in the Summer.
This happened to my mom last weekand it took 3 afternoons before an Heating & A/C specialist was able to repair her unit… Luckily, I live close by, so she was able to come & stay with me during that time.
My pal and I were in the middle of a heatwave & the temperature outside was almost 100 degrees. And her indoor temperature was a moderate & humid 85 degrees, and of course, this would be uncomfortable for anyone to live in, & my mom didn’t have a fan, which could’ve helped to alleviate the heat. Anyway, when she contacted her Heating & A/C provider, the representative told her that they were dealing with high volumes of calls due to the heatwave, & it could take up to a week for them to repair the unit. After she chatted with the Heating & A/C provider, she contacted me to tell me what was happening, and i tried to contact my Heating & A/C specialist to see if he was able to repair her unit sooner… Unfortunately, he was facing the same high volume of calls. Apparently, the a/cs were cutting down for a lot of folks due to the heat. Well, at that point, it made no sense for my mom to remain in her loft in that sweltering heat. As luck would have it, after the second morning of her staying with me, my Heating & A/C specialist was able to fit her Heating & A/C unit into his schedule. After 3 afternoons of staying with me, my mom was able to return to a comfortable loft with a working a/c.
