My boyfriend and I went out of town this year for christmas.
His family lives on the west coast, so we don’t usually see them for the holidays.
We saw my family the week before Christmas, because my mom and dad took a cruise this year. My boyfriend and I used that as a reason to get out of town this year too. My boyfriend rented us a chalet up by the ski resort. I really like to go skiing, but I’m not very good at it. We went to a ski resort where there are mostly beginner slopes so I would not feel intimidated by all of the experts. The chalet was really nice. We were about a half a mile from the actual ski resort, but every morning a bus came to the winter cabin to pick us up and take us to the resort. The bus came back to pick us up at the end of the day and take us back to our cabin. The winter cabin only had one bedroom and a small bathroom, but there was a wood fireplace in the bedroom and a stove in the living room. The winter cabin also had central heat. We kept the central heat set at 65° and we used the stove in the living room as well as the wood fireplace in the bedroom. It was very romantic, warm, and relaxing. I wanted to stay for a couple more days when our time was up, but we both had to go back to work after Christmas vacation was over.
