My husband and I decided to go out of neighborhood for a couple of days. The people I was with and I stayed in a hotel that did not meet all of our needs. The people I was with and I were completely dissatisfied with their room, especially after both of us saw the place. The cost of the room was a little bit more than I would normally pay for a night away from the house, but our husband said that the reviews for the place were pretty good. The people I was with and I were supposed to have a room with a terrace and a view. Instead the clerk at the front desk tried to put us in a room that was on the interior of the hotel. The people I was with and I didn’t even have Windows in our room. I told the clerk that the room was unsatisfactory and both of us got moved to a different room on the other side of the hotel. The people I was with and I still didn’t have a terrace, but at least both of us had windows and a view. The place was dirty and it looked as if someone had stayed in that room and then both of us were asked to spend the night there. There was truly no way that I was going to stay there. The cost of our room was way too much after both of us saw the place and I demanded that both of us go to the front desk and get our currency back. The people I was with and I went to a different hotel that night that was twice the cost of the first a single, but at least the heating and did not have goop coming out of the air vents. The heating and was easily the worst area of the entire room. The air vents were dusty and covered with algae or mold.
