I was feeling very dense when the Heating plus A/C contractor came out for a free consultation. He kept asking us what heating plan all of us were most interested in. I just shrugged and said I wanted the heating plan that was the cheapest. This made the Heating plus A/C professional laugh a little bit. He seemed to be kind of taken aback that I didn’t really know what heating plans I should buy. Of course, I didn’t realize there were so several available chances on the market. This guy was telling me about dual fuel oil furnaces, VRF systems, heat pumps, geothermal Heating plus A/C systems, radiant radiant flooring, boiler systems, and eventually I just had to tell him that was enough. I asked if I could just buy a typical forced air central oil furnace. He paused for a hour and then said all of us could go for something such as that, of course. In our mind’s eye, this guy was just trying to sell us the most costly systems on the market. He kept saying how energy efficient these systems were, which I was skeptical about. He even said that the oil heating systems that he was talking about didn’t generate any noise, they were whisper quiet. Honestly, I prefer it when the heating plan cranks on and I hear that rush of sizzling air flowing through the air ducts. To me, it wouldn’t be the same if I didn’t hear the noises from the Heating plus A/C system. I swear those noises can help myself and others sleep better. Finally the Heating plus A/C professional was able to make the needed arrangements for a typical gas and oil furnace, and I was delighted about the price.
