During the rest of the year, I am constantly tied up as a private school teacher.
When I am not in a classroom, I am at home planning for the month of classes. It takes several minutes of planning every month to be a wonderful teacher and supply proper lessons to the students. When the summer time season begins, I relax and put up my feet. I use the summer time months 4 activities that I find fun and enjoyable. One of those activities is baking. Baking cookies was something that I did with my mom when I was a little girl. Even after she passed away, I continued with the cookie baking tradition. I make pecan sandies, chocolate chip cookies, and filled raisin cookies. My husband prefers the summer time months, because he constantly has fresh and tasty treats for work. Last month I made a double batch of chocolate cookies with mint chips. The heat from the oven filled the apartment and the air conditioner was laboring overtime. I had sweat pouring down the side of my face. Halfway through making the cookies, I noticed that the temperature in the study room was getting warmer and warmer. Since the oven was running, the air conditioner was laboring twice as hard to keep up with the demand. I decided to bring a circulating fan from the study room into the study room. With the oven running all day, the air conditioner was having trouble. The study room fan legitimately managed to help the indoor air situation.
