So for now, a shipping container kitchen is the best I can do. I have to say, I kind of enjoy that little kitchen. I like that all our stuff is separate from the house. I just keep a small fridge inside the lake house for our hubby. All the stuff I cook with is in the modular kitchen. I have an oven, stove top, microwave, dishwasher in addition to plenty of room to prepare. I make dinner in addition to it is like many steps outside the lake house to get into the kitchen for the meal. My husband and I frequently hang around outside and eat now. Maybe once it gets cold I won’t like it as well. For right now I am not rushing the addition because I like being sectioned off; Currently our lake house only has room for a tiny kitchen. This construction was going to also cost me a pretty penny, but in the long run it is going to save me money because I will no longer have to call the local heating and air conditioner supplier to come out and remount the heat pump every few weeks! I must have spent close to a thousand dollars in the last 2 months just because of these darn squirrels and their desire to dig up our geothermal heat pump! I wish I could send them the bills.
