My boyfriend is not the sharpest crayon in the box, that’s for sure.
I know that is not a very nice thing to say, but the truth is the truth.
He is one of those people who doesn’t have very much common sense at all. I like him a lot and he is one of the nicest people around. That’s probably why I like him, honestly. It’s certainly not because he is super smart. I don’t know why he’s so goofy, but that’s just the way that he is. Anyway, the other day at my house I started to notice that the temperature was dropping inside. It’s been really cold outside for the past few weeks, and I have had the thermostat turned way up to combat the freezing cold temperatures. I had the heating set at 72 degrees, but when I went to look at the thermostat, it was only 66 inside of the house! I did not know what the problem was, and then I noticed that the alert was flashing that the batteries were low in the thermostat. I had my boyfriend find some batteries so that he could change the batteries in the thermostat for me. However, the next morning, it was even colder in my house than it had been the day before! I went to look at the thermostat again and the alert was still flashing. When I checked the batteries, it turned out that my boyfriend had put them in completely backwards and upside down! I don’t know what he was thinking. No wonder the furnace wasn’t working.
