Luckily, she is just as keen on saving money on our energy bill, and saving money in general. So, instead of turning up the thermostat for the central heater, we mulled over our options. I suggested an electric blanket, but my partner countered that suggestion by saying an electric blanket would do her no good when she had to get up and out of the bed to use the bathroom! I conceded that point. That’s when my wife put her palm to her forehead and laughed. I asked what was the matter and she confessed she felt rather silly. It would allow us to heat the bedroom to a comfortable temperature for her while saving money by not messing with the thermostat. Of course, I insisted that it would be on her side of the bed. It had been so long since either of us considered a portable climate control option. We decided to go to a hardware store to see what we might be able to find. We found a space heater that was compact, yet powerful. I was surprised by the decent price. I’m so happy that my wife can now be cozy and warm while I generally get to stay cooler and save money on my energy bill!
