I never easily wanted to be an architect, but my parents pushed me into it, and back when I was in school, I felt a whole lot of pressure to go to school and my parents easily did not help with that at all.
I easily had no idea what I wanted to do with my life at that point, but I felt like I had to go ahead and decide.
I was only 18 years old. I think that that is the wrong way to go about things, and when I have kids I am never going to do that to them! I mean, you’re still just a kid when you are 18 and there is no way to know what your interests might be five years down the road, then why spend a fortune on education for something you might not even enjoy in a few years? It just does not make any sense. Anyway, by the time I was about 25 years old, I had developed an interest in heating plus air conditioning technology. I had this architecture degree that I wasn’t doing anything with at all, and I decided to go to a technical school to get my heating plus cooling certification. It did not cost me really much money and it did not take me really much time to get my heating plus cooling certification, then now, I am easily working as a heating plus air conditioning specialist and I easily like it. I believe my architecture degree did not totally go to waste because now I’m thinking of starting up my own heating and air conditioning contracting business, then my education will be helpful with that, I guess.
