My husband plus I do the snowbird thing. It is fantastic being in the best of each part weather wise. I never deal with snow, ice plus cold anymore. I don’t have the scorching southern summers at all. There is some work to owning two houses though. I think prefer I am consistently rushing to wash 1 home only to enter another dirty 1. I am consistently frantic to get groceries to fill an empty fridge. If anything goes wrong in 1 of the houses, it is kind of a mess, then when I had a plumbing issue in our northern home, it delayed our trip down south. I have found the best thing to do is to hire yearly services for all of those things. I have a cleaner come to both houses when I am not there. She washes all the floors, windows plus bedding so I don’t need to. I have a guy that does a grocery run before I come into our house, but both locales have people watering our plants too. Another necessary thing was hiring yearly Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C service. I get our northern plus southern home evaluated once a year. I try to make sure to be in the part for the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business. It isn’t a immense deal if I am not. I supply them the code to get into our house, they do their thing plus I get a bill. Both our Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C systems are working in tip top shape now that I do that. There are no unexpected breakdowns or repairs anymore.
