I cannot wait for my current Heating & A/C component to die.
I assume that sounds weird, but it is true.
I have no storage in my house. My Heating & A/C closet is huge, but totally filled. The indoor air handler sits on a platform and takes up 50% of the space. I was informed by my partner I can’t stuff things under the platform either. I need to allow open flow for the heating and cooling system. The other side of the Heating & A/C closet has a water heater. It goes all the way to the ceiling and is bulky. I cannot put anything other than a single broom, mp and bin in here. It is a huge letdown. I have decided that when the Heating & A/C dies, I am going ductless. That means the indoor air handlers will be in the family rooms of the home. They mount on the wall and have their own temperature control. You can do zone control with this method. It is said to be energy smart since you don’t waste energy heating and cooling rooms you don’t frequent. I entirely just want to free up the closet. When the water furnace dies I will be doing a tankless model. It is about the size of a small suitcase and will mount on the wall as well. So I could then have the closet be a coat room. I Could put shoes, coats, wrapper paper and cleaning supplies in there. I get giddy just thinking about it. The water furnace is pretty new, so I have almost 15 years before that happens. The Heating & A/C component only has about multiple years left though.
