I still think it was worth it.
- But I’m for sure glad that it got done before the full summer heat came down upon us.
That’s sort of what we deal with in this region. The heat and humidity comes down and it sits on your neck from June through most of September anyway. The fact that I’m enjoying the perfect HVAC cooling this last week of August is due to the awesome job by our HVAC contractor. We really wanted the quality heating and air to be a main focus of this home building project. Of course, it was our first time building a custom home. So we weren’t exactly sure just what we were in for. And truthfully, it was a lot. From upgrading the HVAC equipment on the old house to sell it to packing and moving, it was a lot. And that was before we broke ground on the house. Thankfully, we had our ducks in a row as we had been planning and designing this house for the last couple of years. And we had a great general contractor who allowed us to find some of the subs ourselves. That’s how we got out and found the best HVAC contractor who did the job we were wanting. We got the latest in residential HVAC and HVAC technology. But it was the HVAC contractors precision installation and set up of the HVAC unit that really did the trick. And we got it done the last week of May so we beat the heat season by about a week or so. That’s why it’s August and I’m smiling so big.
