My local gym is offering free yoga classes and I decided to sign up for one of them.
The classes will begin in about 2 weeks, and they will be held outside the gym on the lawn.
Hopefully, the weather outside will be nice on the day we have the first session. I must admit that I am excited about the yoga class, but also a bit nervous because I don’t know what to expect. I have never taken yoga before, but I have a lot of friends who do, and they absolutely love it. They have always invited me to attend classes with them, but I have always turned down the invitation. In fact, my good friend Lisa is a part time yoga instructor and though she has asked me many times to sign up for one of her sessions, I have not to this day. My friends have always raved about how yoga helps to balance their mind, body, and soul. I am not sure if I will have the same experience, but I have an open mind, and would like to gain as much from the classes as possible. I know that yoga requires a lot of core strength and flexibility and I am not sure if I have any of that. In fact, when I work out at the gym, I usually stick to a couple of machines. You’ll find me mostly on the treadmill and the elliptical machines. At times, I will venture over to the weightlifting section but not for very long. So, I am not very adventurous when it comes to working out. Hopefully, taking these free yoga classes will open the door for other fitness avenues.
