Paul purchased a five-acre piece of land with a creek running through it and was adjacent to the forest. The only downside to this piece of land is that it is far from civilization. The nearest hospital was miles away, and so was the air conditioning business. The few residents in the area got their cooling products from air conditioning dealers from the nearby town. It is usually a cumbersome task as the customers have to wait for a few days to receive their cooling equipment or get hold of a cooling specialist. Paul called me the other week complaining that he was not enjoying summer because his heat pump wasn’t working as efficiently. Due to my history as once being an air conditioning expert, Paul consults me when it comes to matters of cooling technology. He explained the few issues he could hear or notice on the unit. Paul hadn’t yet called in for an air conditioning tune-up since Paul moved into the house, which was well over a year. The only thing he had done in terms of a/c care replaced the air conditioning filter. Paul was yet to call an a/c rep to take care of the rest. Since my family and I were planning to visit him that weekend, he told me to carry my toolset so that I could help him fix it. Waiting three more days was not much of a stretch. When we eventually got there, we set off to the air conditioning installation right after lunch. I was relieved that the system required minor air conditioning repair, and then it was as good as new. I took it upon myself to teach Paul and his family more about air conditioning so that they could take better care of the system.
