My mom is the sort of lady who can do anything she puts her mind to. When I was about 10 years old, she told my dad she had enough of being a housewife. Since I was always at school and busy with extracurricular activities, mom found herself quite bored. So, dad told her to find something to do and he would support her. Mom always makes people easy and happy around so she started organizing afternoon tea events. Her friends were so supportive and soon it morphed into an event business. She’d organize lovely picnics and teas for different groups. One evening after work, she picked me up from practice and we got home at about 7pm. The house was weirdly hot which was unusual given that the air conditioner was on when we left that morning. Mom went to check and found the air conditioner had shut down. She said this had happened before and she was now worried about the failing air conditioner. Since it was late, we opted to go online and leave a message for the HVAC service and repair company. Mom explained the air conditioner had shut off and she wasn’t sure of the cause. The following morning at about 7 am, the phone rang and it was an AC expert calling to confirm the best time to pass by and take a look at the failing air conditioner. Mom’s day wasn’t too busy so she picked 10 am. She’d be back by that time after dropping me off at school and running some errands for her business. Dad was away on business so this was all up to mom.
