We are going to let my dad move in with us

We are going to let my dad move in with us in a few weeks, but I’m concerned about the fact that my dad likes to keep the thermostat turned up way higher than we do.

Ever since I was a kid, I remember thinking that my dad liked to keep it way too warm in the house.

I don’t know what it is about him, but he always thinks that the furnace needs to be turned up to tropical heating levels during the winter. He hates the winter, that’s for sure. And I think that it has gotten even worse as he gets older. He is always saying that it’s too cold, no matter where he is. The fact that he is going to be moving in with us makes me just a little bit nervous about what our heating bills are going to end up being once he moves in. I guess I’m going to have to lay down some rules right away about how high we are willing to turn up the heating system in our house. It might be good for us to install zone control heating and cooling so that my dad can have his own thermostat in his room and bathroom. I don’t really want to go to extremes, but I know that my dad is gonna be unhappy with the temperature that we keep it in our house. Maybe I will just end up buying him a couple of electric space heaters or something like that. I’m just not sure that an electric space heater will be enough for him!
