If you ever find yourself having trouble with the heating and cooling system in your home, then take my advice and make sure that the thermostat is the first thing that you look at before you call an HVAC company.
It’s one of those things that you don’t really think about very often because it’s just this little small thing up on the wall in your hallway at home.
It doesn’t really make any noise and it’s actually quite unobtrusive. However, if you haven’t changed the battery in your thermostat for a while, then you might be shocked to find out that if the battery isn’t working correctly, then your whole HVAC system is going to be thrown off balance. It’s weird that something so small can make such a big difference in your home’s indoor air quality. It’s strange that if you can’t get it to work correctly, then the heating and air conditioning in your home will get all out of whack really quickly. Of course, I didn’t really think about all of that at the time when my air conditioning system stopped working a couple of weeks ago. I immediately started to think that my central air conditioning system was torn up and I thought that I was going to have to pay a fortune to get it fixed. I was super mad because of this and then I decided that I would just go ahead and get it over with so I called the local HVAC company. They came out to check out the A/C and it turns out that the only problem with my cooling system was the fact that I had neglected to change the batteries in my thermostat.
