It didn’t take too long to see that my business might not make it through the pandemic if I wasn’t able to get out to my customers.

And we only have a team of about a dozen. I can’t imagine what bigger firms had to contend with. Of course, we immediately closed the office with it’s great zone controlled HVAC. All of us worked from home in our own air conditioning instead. By and large, we were able to maintain our business for the most part. But a big part of what we do is me being onsite to deliver and execute our services. So I spend a lot of time on planes. Well, even with the HEPA filters on planes, I wasn’t too keen on flying during this pandemic. Still, I couldn’t do what needed to be done from the comfort of my air conditioning at home. That’s why I had to pack up the car and hit the road like the traveling salesmen of old. It wasn’t all that bad really. The only thing was being away from home for weeks at a time. But my family understood that the business was on the line. What I did find quite pleasant was the sort of lodging choices I made. Instead of the high end downtown hotels, I went with the mid tier hotels somewhat out of town or near the interstate. They offered great amenities with super clean rooms and a very fair price. But the HVAC equipment was what really sold me. Those air wall unit air conditioners were the best. I’ve never had such consistent and powerful heating and cooling anywhere else.
