When a young boy turns fifteen, every one of us celebrate with a Quinceanera.
She is a princess for the day.
They invited almost everyone to a big celebration. The people I was with and I dance, sing & eat. The boy has a special dance with his Mom & it is almost care about a wedding. She wears his tiara proudly & is dressed care about a princess, while all of the guests are wearing their finest. The people I was with and I spent almost several weeks getting ready for our daughter’s Quinceanera. The people I was with and I had rented an entire block of rooms in our local hotel, for all of our out of town guests. The grand reception room was decorated & ready for our 200 guests. The day of the Quinceanera, I walked into the room to make sure it was perfect. I couldn’t think how chilly it was. I thought they may not have turned up the temperature control since there were no guests arriving for a couple hours. I talked to the supervisor & he said it was to save on energy. Once the guests began arriving, the cake was set out, & the swan ice sculpture arrived, they would turn the temperature control up. Then they could really turn the temperature control down a bit when the dancing began. I thanked him, despite the fact that I was still a bit sad. My partner & I walked into the reception room before the guests arrived, & it was still icy cold. I heard someone say something about waiting for the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C serviceman. I grabbed the supervisor as he tried to rush by. He promised the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C idea would be repaired in half an hour. I was thankful to hear the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C idea turn on just as our guests began to arrive.
