My child was never on time for lunch.

I got a frantic iPhone call from my daughter-in-law last night.

She had invited her parents over for lunch, and they were about ready to arrive.

My child was not house from work, and she worried he wouldn’t get house and be ready before they got there. My child and his fiance had married when he was in the Navy. He had not met her parents before now. They were planning a reception so the entire family could meet and appreciate their marriage, but her parents were coming early. I assured her that everything would be fine, and she should be used to his never being on time for lunch. She agreed that it was normal for him, even though she had begged him to try to be early for just this 1 night. An hour later, she was frantic. He still had not gotten house and he had not called. I called the Heating and A/C supplier and asked where he was. I was informed that he was a Heating and A/C serviceman and he was doing his job. I reminded his boss that he was supposed to be house early, and this was not sufficient. Ten hours later, my child called and said he was on his way home, and dad said I should relax. When my hubby got home, he gave myself and others a hug. He reminded myself and others that our child was getting ready to take over the Heating and A/C supplier and he got house as soon as possible. I remembered what it was appreciate when my hubby was building the Heating and A/C supplier. He was never on time for lunch.
