We knew what had to be done to get our HVAC system installed. My husband was afraid that if he completed the installation, the warranty on the air conditioning unit and furnace would be voided. This was a brand new system and we didn’t want to void a warranty before we had the chance to find out if it worked. I called the HVAC company and asked why the HVAC technician had not come back to finish the installation of the air conditioning unit. The furnace needed to be connected to the electrical system, as did the air conditioner. The air conditioner also had to be vented into the ductwork. The woman who answered the phone told me that he was not in the building, but she would contact him and have him give us a phone call. I waited 24 hours for his phone, but I received nothing. I called the HVAC company again, and I talked to the same woman. She once again said she would contact him and give us a call. Twenty-four hours later, I had not received a phone call. I called the HVAC company and told them that if someone did not complete the installation, I was going to call the BBB and report them. I was also going to call the manufacturer of the HVAC system and report how we were being treated by the HVAC company. We had a phone call five minutes later, and our HVAC system installation was completed. I still made the phone calls to the BBB and to the manufacturer. I’ll call another HVAC company to do the service, even if I need to purchase a service and repair agreement.
